Xcaret, Riviera Maya, November 21, 2024 – We are pleased to announce that Ha’—Grupo Xcaret’s first restaurant to receive a Michelin Star, led by chefs Carlos Gaytán and Uriel Moreno—has been recognized as one of Mexico’s 100 best restaurants and will join the MB100 Guide starting in 2025.

This recognition reinforces Xcaret’s vision of establishing itself as the region’s premier gastronomic destination by fostering exceptional experiences that reflect Mexico’s culinary richness and delight diners, all while maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation. A prime example of this is the inaugural Apapaxoa Festival GastroCultural Xcaret held this year; over five days, the event offered visitors a unique opportunity to explore culinary trends and gastronomic evolution—using sustainable Mexican ingredients within a natural, responsible, and sustainable setting—alongside 15 renowned world-class chefs.

“This prestigious recognition reinforces the legacy of excellence that Xcaret has built through its revolutionary culinary approach. On behalf of everyone at Ha’, I accept this distinction with joy and gratitude. For us, it symbolizes the fruit of hard work, daily dedication, and a passion for elevating Mexico’s culinary heritage,” said Carlos Gaytán. Ha’s intimate, cosmopolitan atmosphere provides the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion and savor high-end Mexican cuisine bearing the signature of Chef Carlos Gaytán—the first Mexican chef to earn a Michelin star, both within and outside Mexico. The restaurant offers a nine-course tasting menu that explores the country’s rich array of flavors, textures, and aromas; each dish is a culinary work of art paired with an outstanding selection of wines, primarily from Mexico. The restaurant—whose name means “water” in Mayan—is open to the public, and reservations can be made via OpenTable.
