Grupo Xcaret reaffirms 25 years as a pioneer and leader of Corporate Social Responsibility in Mexico

It is the first tourism company in Quintana Roo and Mexico to maintain the ESR Distinction for 25 consecutive years.

The recognition validates more than three decades of a tourism model that generates prosperity while protecting nature, culture, and people.
Xcaret, Riviera Maya, September 2, 2026. Grupo Xcaret reaffirms its leadership in the tourism sector by maintaining the Socially Responsible Company (ESR) Distinction for 25 consecutive years. This milestone consolidates the organization as the first tourism company in Quintana Roo and Mexico to achieve a quarter-century with this recognition, demonstrating the strength and maturity of a business model that has evolved over more than three decades, proving that tourism can generate prosperity while protecting what gives it meaning: people, nature, and culture.

More than an annual goal, the ESR Distinction, awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi), serves as a testament to a sustained trajectory. Grupo Xcaret has been involved with this recognition for virtually the entire history of the country, integrating responsible practices across all its operations in governance, quality of life, environmental stewardship, and ethics. In line with this legacy and within the framework of Cemefi’s “Being ESR Feels Good” campaign, the Group is adding to this celebration by sharing materials and testimonial videos on its institutional channels, highlighting the lessons of a model that seeks to inspire the sector.

“Maintaining the ESR Distinction for 25 consecutive years represents much more than receiving recognition year after year; it reflects the consistency of a business model that, for more than three decades, has demonstrated that it is possible to develop tourism while generating prosperity and protecting people, nature, and culture. This milestone inspires us to continue innovating, raising our standards, and reaffirming that sustainability is how we understand and manage the company every day,” stated Miriam Alonso, Deputy Director of Sustainability at Grupo Xcaret.

With this anniversary, Grupo Xcaret reaffirms that sustainability will continue to be the central focus from which it will drive innovation, growth and development of tourism in Mexico.
