Xcaret, Riviera Maya, April 23, 2025. Xcaret has established itself as a benchmark for sustainable tourism and hospitality excellence in Mexico. In 2025, Hotel Xcaret M\u00e9xico\u2014pioneer of the All-Fun Inclusive\u00ae concept\u2014will double its accommodation capacity from 900 to 1,800 rooms, featuring five themed “houses” designed for multigenerational stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion, representing a $700 million investment, drives growth that has resulted in an 87% increase in employment since 2019, reaching a workforce of 17,000 employees by mid-2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Entertainment Experiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new phase introduces unique spaces tailored to different stages of life. Xiquit Inn<\/em> and Lunateca<\/em> are two recreational concepts focused on child development: the former is for children aged 5 to 9 to explore professions and skills, while the latter is a sensory playroom for babies and children up to age 5, inspired by the legend of the rabbit and the moon. For teenagers aged 13 to 17, Distrito 1317<\/em> and La Paxanger\u00eda<\/em> offer physical activities, opportunities for reflection, and evening entertainment in a safe environment. The Spa Muluk Family<\/em> introduces shared wellness experiences for children aged 6 and up, with areas specially designed for their enjoyment and relaxation. All these experiences reinforce Xcaret\u2019s commitment to offering unforgettable family moments within a setting rich in art, tradition, and gastronomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

APAPAXOA: The Festival Celebrating the Senses<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From August 25 to 31, guests at Xcaret Park, Xplor, Hotel Xcaret Arte, and Hotel Xcaret M\u00e9xico can take part in the Apapaxoa GastroCultural Festival<\/em>\u2014a world-class celebration uniting global cuisine with Mexican ingredients and flavors. Featuring exclusive dinners, tastings, food-and-drink pairings, interactive forums, and art in all its forms, Apapaxoa promises an unprecedented sensory experience, showcasing over 30 guest participants from diverse disciplines. A highlight is our Gastronomic Collective, featuring national and international talents such as Andoni Luis Aduriz, Carlos Gayt\u00e1n, Martha Ortiz, Jonat\u00e1n G\u00f3mez Luna, the Rivera R\u00edo brothers, Roberto Sol\u00eds, Paco M\u00e9ndez, and Alex Ruiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2022, Grupo Xcaret has maintained a Cultural Heritage Safeguarding Committee\u2014the only one of its kind in Mexico’s private sector. This specialized body is responsible for planning, regulating, and overseeing the management and protection model for Mexico\u2019s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. It prioritizes human dignity, ensuring recognition, credit, and fair compensation for the tradition-bearers who honor us with their work across various venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Committed to creating shared value and promoting human dignity, Xcaret recognizes and showcases the traditions of every region. This effort was solidified in 2024 with the inaugural Xcaret Mexican Folk Art Fair, an unprecedented event that brought together artisans from 21 states across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fair returns for a new edition from September 25 to 28, 2025, featuring over 140 artisans sharing their talents at Xcaret Park\u2019s Hacienda Henequenera. They will demonstrate ancestral techniques\u2014such as embroidery, ceramics, weaving, and wood carving\u2014in a living tribute to Mexican identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day of the Dead: Honoring, remembering, and celebrating. From October 30 to November 3, Grupo Xcaret will host the 19th edition of the Festival of Life and Death Traditions. This celebration allows tradition-bearers to share their ancient heritage\u2014popularly known as the Day of the Dead\u2014which has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This event seeks to safeguard cultural heritage by sharing Mexican traditions, honoring the bearers of these customs, and proudly showcasing a tradition that defines us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, alongside the traditional festivities of various Quintana Roo communities, the event will also feature representatives from the state of Michoac\u00e1n\u2014this year\u2019s guest state\u2014renowned for its iconic celebrations. The festival will offer a sensory journey featuring art, music, theater, and dance, including a special appearance by Los \u00c1ngeles Azules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xcaret Expands Its Caribbean Sailing Experiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grupo Xcaret is also diversifying its maritime offerings with its “Catamaran Prime” service.
