Grupo Xcaret has climbed 24 spots in the general ESG ranking compared to the previous year, securing the 46th position.
It is recognized as the top-ranked company for ESG reputation within the Hotels and Tourism Services sector and has also achieved a Top 50 ranking across all three pillars.
Xcaret, Riviera Maya, February 24, 2026. The results of the 13th edition of the Merco ESG Responsibility (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Ranking Mexico 2025 were announced today. Grupo Xcaret secured the 46th spot in the general ranking—advancing 24 places from 2024—and claimed first place in the Hotels and Tourism Services sector. This achievement reflects recognition from executives, experts, and analysts who value the company’s environmental, social, and governance performance.
With this result, Grupo Xcaret not only establishes itself as the most responsible company in Mexico’s hotel and tourism services sector but also positions itself among the country’s leaders in corporate sustainability, alongside benchmark companies from various industries that are driving the national conversation on environmental, social, and governance issues.
Furthermore, the company ranked within the top 50 in each of the three ESG pillars:
E (Environment): 37th place
S (Internal scope, customers, and society): 39th place
G (Ethics and Governance): 48th place

The Merco ESG ranking is one of the most rigorous corporate reputation monitors internationally. This edition was compiled based on 46,678 surveys, 26 information sources, and six evaluation perspectives—including input from 1,825 business executives, 690 experts from various fields, and over 4,300 citizens, as well as an analysis of digital conversations and other key stakeholders.
Being recognized as the number one company in the Hotels and Tourism Services sector is particularly significant in a context where the industry faces growing demands regarding sustainability, social impact, and governance.
